Sliding Glass Dog Door Installation
I am Noah Burkeen, owner of Blue Spruce Handyman Services, and this is a completed customer project. The customer, Camille Z., wanted a dog-door solution that would work with the sliding glass door she already had.
Blue Spruce Handyman Services is owner-operated and based in Englewood, Colorado, serving nearby Denver metro communities.

Owner walkthrough
In this walkthrough I show the finished dog-door insert from the deck and from inside the house. It did not require any permanent changes to the sliding glass door, and it has weather stripping. Near the end I also point out the patio lights and the solar-powered lighting along the back fence, which I installed for Camille as a separate project. You will hear my voice and the natural sound of the yard; there is no added music.
Project overview
Camille reached out about several projects at her home, and this one was a dog door for her sliding glass door. I researched suitable options, made a trip to Home Depot, and sent her photos so she could pick the option that worked best for her.
Once she chose, I picked up the product and materials and completed the installation, then demonstrated the finished setup with her dog.

More work for the same customer
Camille also hired me for other household projects. I installed lighting around her deck and yard, and she liked the first section enough to have me return and complete more of the yard.
I also helped replace the soap dispenser in her dishwasher, including researching and purchasing the correct part. This kind of work falls under small home repairs. Regulated electrical and plumbing work is not offered by Blue Spruce Handyman Services.
